Construction company ABB SA has agreed to pay back R1.5bn to Eskom.

It's in relation to overpayments of an unlawful contract at the Kusile Power Plant in Mpumalanga.
It's reached a deal with the power utility and the Special Investigating Unit.
The settlement is inclusive of the capital amount and interest and an agreement will be subject to the review of the high court.
Eskom's board chairperson Malegapuru Makgoba made the announcement at a joint briefing this afternoon.

The Special Investigating Unit says the probe started two years ago.
Eskom's CEO Andre de Ruyter says they're coming for others.
"I think it is a continuation of a long series of recoveries.
They have recovered R1.1 billion from McKinsey and R171 million from Deloitte Consulting.
"We are pursuing a claim for R3.8 billion against members of the Gupta family, as well as an R93 million claim against PwC."
