Updated | By Newswatch
Load shedding's been moved from Stage 2 to Stage 1 now.

Eskom says it'll start imposing power cuts again at 9am this morning, after the peak traffic times.
It says emergency reserves have recovered, but there'll be an update on whether it needs to continue with planned outages - later this afternoon.

The power utility says its teams are conducting critical maintenance on units - to reduce the frequency and severity of load shedding.

"While dam levels have recovered adequately enough to allow for a reduction to Stage 1 load shedding, there is still some work being done to improve diesel stocks."
Eskom says the risk of load shedding remains for the week.
