Emergency services attend to several morning crashes in KZN

First responders say they found total carnage after one person was killed in a collision between a truck and a light motor vehicle in the Durban CBD.
The incident occurred on the corner of Joe Slovo Road and Monty Naicker Road this morning leaving the truck overturned.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson says the entrapped driver of the light motor vehicle was declared deceased on the scene.
The Durban Fire Department used the Jaws of Life to free him.

Two occupants from the truck had sustained moderate injuries and they were stabilized on the scene by ALS Paramedics before being transported to a nearby Hospital for the further care that they required."
At this stage the events leading up to the collision are unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
Meanwhile, one person has been killed and two others injured in another horrific crash on the M13, near the Shongweni offramp.
ALS Paramedics say a single vehicle collided with concrete barriers before lifting into the sky and coming to rest against road works structures this morning.
The deceased male was believed to be in his 30s.
The two other occupants sustained serious injuries and were stabilised on scene before being transported to a nearby hospital.
