Emergency housing team sent to storm-hit KwaNomgoma
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
An emergency housing team has been dispatched to storm-hit KwaNomgoma in northern KwaZulu-Natal.

Several households in Ekubuseni, Gomodo, and Holinyok have been left homeless by the heavy rains and storms on Saturday night.
The Salvation Army's church and premises in the northern KZN town were not spared.
Major Thataetsile Semeno says the hall, residential quarters and tenants' accommodations were blown away.
"The whole roof from the church is gone, and part of the house is also gone. But it is not only us, there are quite a number of people that are affected around the area. What is needed now is to find a way to recover from that and how we can make sure that we rebuild what we have lost as a church."
Semeno says despite the loss the organisation is continuing to help affected residents.
"On Saturday night, when this happened, we were able to give people blankets and temporary shelter."
He says they are still calculating the cost of the damage.
He's asked for assistance from communities to help them get back on their feet.
