Reservoir Hills residents protest over sewer issues
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
A Reservoir Hills councillor addressed residents from the Umgudulu Informal Settlement who took part in protest action along the M19 on Monday morning.

They set debris and trees alight on both sides of the route.
The group returned shortly after they were dispersed.
Ward 23 councillor Alicia Kissoon was on the ground earlier to calm down the situation.

She says this is over a sewer issue in the settlement, with residents demanding the eThekwini Municipality to act quicker in fixing it.
"They pointed out that almost two years had passed since the mayor's imbizo and has promised that all the issues in our settlement would be sorted out and yet the streams are still running grey and black with the amount of sewer in it that people have to live in."
The crowd has been dispersed, and roads are clear.
