Elderly man shot dead outside Tongaat school
An elderly man's been shot and killed outside a school in Tongaat.
Netcare911 responded to the incident in Esnembe this afternoon.
Spokesperson, Shawn Herbst says there was nothing paramedics could be done to save the man.
"The elderly male sustained a gunshot wound through his head and his neck. The patient was assessed on scene by an advance life support paramedic and found to have no signs of life and declared deceased on scene," Shawn Herbst said.

Herbst says circumstances leading up to the shooting are at this stage unknown, and police are investigating.
