Elderly KZN rape victim dies in hospital
An elderly KwaZulu-Natal woman who was raped earlier this month has died.
Officials say a 21-year-old man broke into her house in Esibizane Village near Creighton and attacked her.
The perpetrator was caught because he fell asleep.
The Department of Social Development in KZN's Mhlabunzima Memela says they received the news from the woman's family that she passed over the weekend.

"We are hoping that the court is not going to release this young man after inflicting such pain on the old lady.
"The kind of people who abuse our senior citizens are not expected to be roaming our streets. They are the people who have to spend a long time in prison."
