Elderly Inanda woman stabbed to death, partner arrested

Durban detectives have arrested a man who they believe stabbed an elderly woman to death in Inanda, north of the city.

The 69-year old woman's body was found in her home yesterday.
Police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says suspect, believed to be known to the victim, was arrested.
Police have also made arrests in connection with these murders.
In the Chatsworth case, a 35-year-old woman was stabbed following an argument with another woman.
In the Pietermaritzburg incident, a 24-year-old woman was stabbed to death at her Mountain Rise home.
Zwane says a man, known to her, was arrested.
He says the woman was rushed to hospital, but died later.
Police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says suspect, believed to be known to the victim, was arrested.
He is due to appear in court soon.

Meanwhile, two other women were killed in separate stabbing incidents in Pietermaritzburg and Chatsworth on Sunday.Police have also made arrests in connection with these murders.
In the Chatsworth case, a 35-year-old woman was stabbed following an argument with another woman.
She died at the scene.

A 27-year-old suspect has been charged with her murder.In the Pietermaritzburg incident, a 24-year-old woman was stabbed to death at her Mountain Rise home.
Zwane says a man, known to her, was arrested.
He says the woman was rushed to hospital, but died later.
The suspect was arrested immediately and has already appeared in court.
