Eight schoolchildren among 10 killed in N2 crash

Ten people, eight of them children, have been killed in an accident in northern KwaZulu-Natal.
KZN EMS spokesperson Robert McKenzie says the collision happened on Friday afternoon on the N2 near Pongola.
"The crash involves a truck and a bakkie that had been transporting schoolchildren."

"Emergency services are still at the scene of the crash. One child has also sustained critical injuries and has been transported to hospital for continued medical care.
"The exact cause of the crash is not known at this stage and will be investigated by the police."
