EFF lays charges against PE woman for pointing firearm

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in the Eastern Cape has laid charges against a 52-year-old woman for pointing a firearm at its members during a protest at a Clicks in Port Elizabeth.

The women pulled out the gun at Walmer Park Shopping Centre on Tuesday
The retail giant hit the headlines after it published a racist TRESemme haircare advert on its website.
The woman and the EFF members were all initially taken to the local police station but no criminal charges were pursued.

But Eastern Cape police spokesperson, Priscilla Naidu says the EFF members later went back to press charges against the woman.
"The EFF opened a case of pointing of firearm against the woman. No arrests were made but the case is under investigation.”
