DA leader John Steenhuisen says they've noted a number of issues around the EFF's plans for the shutdown.
He says they're heading to court to challenge what it calls potential acts of violence and intimidation.

"Secondly, that they be held personally liable for any damage to infrastructure and looting that may take place and thirdly their immediate withdrawal of all the threatening letters they've sent to businesses, including OR Thambo International where they instructed them to shut down on the 20th."
Meanwhile, EFF president, Julius Malema's to brief the media at on Wednesday on their plans for Monday's national shutdown.
