Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
The KZN Department of Education says it will be working with Durban police to bring to book the shooters who've left an 18-year-old Phoenix learner fighting for his life in hospital.

The boy was shot on the grounds of his school yesterday - apparently by two former pupils of the school in Forest Haven.

Department spokesperson Muzi Mahlambi says they're shocked by the shooting which has raised some concerns.
"The assault - in this day and age - that people can just do this, just come to a school where learners are concentrating on getting the future for their communities and their parents - it's so shocking," he said.
