East Coasters unconvinced by Eskom’s upturn in performance
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
With South Africans heading to the polls in
just over a month's time, many people in KZN are convinced there's a hidden
agenda behind the suspension of load shedding.
It's been more than three weeks since we experienced the rolling blackouts.
Eskom says it's mainly thanks to an improvement in generation capacity.
But some residents of KZN aren't convinced about Eskom's long-term solutions to end the power cuts.
A woman told Newswatch she is astounded by Eskom’s performance so close to the polls.
"It's giving 'Hey vote for us and this is what will happen all the time, no loadshedding!' And as soon as elections are over it stage 20!"
Another woman says she is also not convinced.

"If they think we are going to fall for the campaigning stunt for elections, oh shame.
"Load shedding is like Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter - he who shall not be named, you mustn't say the name because it will return to full power."
