Durban's North beach reopened
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
Durban residents will be able to access the city's beaches and promenade at North beach again this morning.

The stretch of beachfront from North beach towards Blue Lagoon was off limits yesterday while eThekwini conducted clean-up operations there.
This after rough seas and waves battered the promenade on Sunday.
The municipality's Tozi Mthethwa says no structural damage has been reported.
"The team is looking at removing all the debris that was washed onto the shore> For example, whatever waste found in the area will be removed and they'll ensure that the area is safe for use so that people will be able to enjoy a safe and clean beach in eThekwini," she says.
Meanwhile, a seven-year-old girl drowned after being swept off the North beach pier by a wave on Sunday afternoon.
