Updated | By Lauren Beukes
There has been another dog attack in Durban.
A toddler has been taken to hospital after he was bitten by his family's pet pit bull in Hillary near Queensburgh.
Reports from the scene are that the dog escaped from its enclosure before attacking the 1-year-old on Monday morning.

"The parent of the baby was able to get the victim away from the pit bull safely, and no other household members were injured,” says Cait Hagerman, who is with dRK EMS.
"The pit bull was placed back into its enclosure.
"The baby was assessed and was found to have sustained a significant bite and was stabilised on scene by paramedics. The baby was then transported to the local facility for further treatment and observation.
"When questioning the family, the family has contacted SPCA asking advice for further steps with the dog."
This is the fifth dog attack reported in recent weeks in areas in and around Durban, including Morningside, Park Hill and Verulam.
Three of those incidents involved pet pit bulls.
