Durban schoolboy allegedly shoots teacher for scolding him

Prosecutors say a Ntuzuma schoolboy, who allegedly shot his teacher who scolded him for being noisy in the classroom, is facing charges of attempted murder and theft.
The 16-year-old appeared in the Ntuzuma Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
Spokesperson for NPA in KZN Natasha Kara says it's understood the teen shot the 30-year-old teacher after he reprimanded the boy, for making noise and telling him that matrics were busy writing their exams.

"The State is alleging that he stole his cousin's firearm from a locked safe and took it to school. At school, he allegedly shot at a teacher.
"The matter was remanded to 12 January 2023 for further investigations. The learner was released into the custody of a guardian."
