Durban residents assessing storm damage
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Residents in and around Durban were on Wednesday morning assessing the scale of the devastation of previous afternoon's storm.

Disaster teams will descend on communities in Ugu, Inanda and areas north of Durban where flooding and early reports of extensive damage came through overnight.
Some residents in Inanda said the area had been hit by a tornado a report the weather service is yet to verify.
MEC for Human Settlement Sipho Nkosi rushed to the area on Tuesday.
"I don't have any information," he told Newswatch upon arrival.
"I'm still going to drive around and then meet with the people and local leadership. Chat with the councillor hear so we can move together in the area and thereafter we are able to mobilise the resources of the government."
The storm tore off rooftops and damaged roads and power lines in Phoenix, Ntuzuma, KwaMashu and Folweni.
Emergency and rescue teams have been assisting many families.
KZN emergency services confirmed that at least three people were hurt.
