Durban pupil allegedly shot by schoolmate

A 13-year-old boy is recovering after he was shot, allegedly by a schoolmate.

It's believed the two Phambili High School pupils were arguing when the shooting happened on school premises on Wednesday.
"The injured victim was taken to hospital for medical attention," says KZN police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala.

"Bellair SAPS is investigating a case of attempted murder."
Last month, the school in Rosburgh made headlines when a teacher was suspended for allegedly pointing a gun at her learners, apparently for misbehaving.
The KZN Education Department launched a probe after being inundated with complaints.
