Durban pre-schools thrilled to reopen
Durban creche owners are thrilled following a High Court ruling to immediately allow the reopening of pre-schools provided COVID-19 preventative measures are in place.
On Monday, the Pretoria High Court ruled in favour of trade union, Solidarity and the Solidarity Support Centre to reopen private nurseries and daycare centres.
The two parties had put in a joint application.

Rudy Lowshang, the owner of Happyfeet, a daycare facility in Durban, says having been the forgotten sector, she is happy with the judgement.
"Our parents and children are elated. We just want to be able to do our role that we do so well in society.
"The sector in the greater Durban area - Glenwood, Morningside and Westwille have all come together in agreement that we are happy, and we are ready to go.
"We are all ready to open up our sectors. All our protocols are in place. All our cleaning is done. We are ready to go," says Lowshang.
