Durban police release identikit of ‘e-hailing rapist’
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Durban police are hoping an identikit they've made public will help them solve a rape case.

A woman was attacked in March after accepting an offer for a lift on the Berea.
Police say the woman was waiting for a taxi on Musgrave Road where the driver of a brown car, that had an e-hailing sticker, stopped.
He asked her where she was going and then offered to take her to the market.

The woman was instead driven to Isipingo by her attacker and raped and robbed.
Officers say the suspect then drove back to the CBD where the woman managed to escape.
Police believe that the person in the identikit they’ve released is key to solving this case.
