A Durban woman whose baby has been found dead is due in court on Thursday.

The 25-year-old was arrested in Amaoti, north of Durban.
Police say neighbours became suspicious when the baby she was recently pregnant with was nowhere to be seen.
When they interrogated her, she told them the infant had died.

Community members on Tuesday forced her to dig the shallow grave where she had buried the baby.
"The woman was arrested and detained at Inanda SAPS where she was charged with birth concealment, whilst the body of the baby was transported to a local mortuary," says KZN police spokesperson Thenjiswa Ngcobo.
"She will appear before Ntuzuma Magistrate’s Court."
