Durban man nabbed for selling fake medical certificates

Durban man has been arrested for allegedly selling fake medical certificates
out of an internet cafe.

The Health Professions Council of South Africa says they got word that a KwaMashu doctor's details were being fraudulently used on the certificates.
Authorities were tipped off about the operation and raided the premises in KwaMashu, along with metro police.

They found a man selling the fake medical certificates for R150, using the details of three registered practitioners.
A laptop and tower were confiscated.
The suspect is expected before a magistrate soon to face a charge of contravening of the Health Professions Act.
