A man accused of killing a Durban mother has been deemed mentally fit to stand trial.

Grayson Beare made his second appearance in the Durban Magistrates Court today.
He allegedly stabbed Halima Hoosen-Preston to death at her Umbilo home just over a week ago.
Her husband and son were also injured in the attack.
In an initial report, KZN police said that Hoosen-Prestons daughter, indicated that the attack was motivated by her support for Palestine.
Family spokesperson, Fatima Asmal says they believe the attack was not religiously motivated.
"At the end of the day, they have gone through a tragedy. They have been traumatised and want justice. They want this to be viewed as a criminal act."
Beare will be back in court for a formal bail application next week.
