Durban cop allegedly kills fiancée, ex-lover in apparent murder-suicide

Durban police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide involving two of their own and an ex-lover.

It's understood an officer shot and killed his fiancée during a domestic dispute in KwaSanti on Saturday night at 19:48.
Police say the 28-year-old woman was also a cop, based at Pinetown Police Station.
KZN SAPS spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele said: "At 20:30, the suspect proceeded to R section in KwaDabeka where he fatally shot his ex-girlfriend aged 35 years."

"The suspect, aged 33-years was also found with a gunshot wound on the head. His service pistol was found next to the body. Both matters are still under investigation."
The incidents are being investigated by KwaDabeka and Mariannhill police.
