Durban businesswoman’s abduction being probed by Hawks

The Hawks
have confirmed that they have taken over the investigation into the alleged
kidnapping of Westville woman, Sandra Moonsamy.
It has emerged that Moonsamy is the daughter of the owner and group CEO of logistics company, Crossmoor Transport and Plant.
Questions around the motive behind Moonsamy's abduction are now being asked.

Police say she was forced off Stapleton Road near the M13 in Pinetown by armed men, while driving to her Westville home last night.
The men allegedly bundled her into their own vehicle and sped off, leaving her bullet riddled Range Rover behind.
Security guards tried to follow but were shot at.

Hawks spokesperson, Hangwani Mulaudzi says their detectives have since received the docket.
“We are still being assisted by Crime Intelligence in terms of looking and searching for Moonsamy. For now, we do not want to give out too much information,” explained Mulaudzi.
“We are working around the clock trying to locate her. And that is what we are doing right now.”
