Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Search and rescue operations are underway at Durban's North Beach, after a man was swept out to sea.

It's understood he was busy netting sardines - offshore from the snake park - at the time.
KZN EMS spokesperson, Robert Mckenzie says emergency services were alerted at around 8:30 am on Tuesday.
"Currently rescuers have several boasts in the water searching for the man who got washed out to sea. Rescue operations are ongoing at this stage," says Mckenzie.
