Dundee teacher accused of rape in bail bid

The northern KwaZulu-Natal teacher accused of raping a 14-year-old schoolgirl is expected to apply for bail in the Dundee Magistrate's Court on Monday.

The 36-year-old man was arrested a week ago.
It's alleged he lured the pupil to a storeroom at the school, with the promise to help her with homework.
The girl's mother says they want the strictest punishment for her child's abuser.

"I want him to go down. I have noticed in recent years that the punishment for rape in this country has gotten harder.
"The country is harder on gender-based violence. He has committed rape and he has done it to a minor.
"I want the death penalty for him. I want him to go in or life."
