Outrage after Dundee teacher accused of raping schoolgirl

Social workers have been sent to Dundee where a teacher allegedly sexually assaulted a schoolgirl.
It's alleged the educator called the 14-year-old girl to a storeroom at a high school on Friday, offering to help her with her homework.
The teacher appeared in court on Monday and was remanded in custody.

He's expected to apply for bail in court next week.
The Social Development Department says psycho-social support is also being provided to the girl, her parents and the school.
The CEO of the Kingsburgh-based Operation Bobbi Bear is furious.
Jackie Branfield says authorities need to send a strong message.

"This makes my blood boil. All the cases that Bobbi Bear has been involved in, where teachers were raping children. The teachers disappear. The case disappears.
"It is disgusting. You send your child to school, thinking they are safe. No, they are being raped. Not all children speak. It's time the Department of Education woke up and dealt with it is rife."
