WATCH: DSW strike causes chaos on N2, waste collection disrupted

Durban Solid Waste trucks are said to be the cause of a major traffic jam on the N2 north, in the vicinity of Spaghetti Junction.

Newswatch understands that striking workers have made the national route impassable.
Drivers parked their vehicles across all lanes on the carriageway, causing a traffic gridlock all the way from the M7.

Interruptions have also been reported on parts of the N3 and Sarnia Road Bridge.
eThekwini Municipality released a statement on Tuesday to say that DSW workers have embarked on an unprotected strike.

It says waste collection and street sweeping services in and around the city have come to a halt.
