Drugs worth R400k found in Durban CBD

Durban police are searching
for the dealers that a large amount of drugs found in a building in the city
centre belong to.

KwaZulu-Natal SAPS spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says the Provincial Drug and Firearm Unit received a tip-off about the narcotics.
"The team proceeded to the identified apartment where they found 2.1 million empty capsules sealed in clear plastic bags and heroin powder.”
She says the drugs recovered during Monday's operation on Anton Lembede Street have an estimated street value of R400 000.
It's believed the drugs were about to be packaged and distributed in the city.
"The police are still searching for the suspects. Disruptive operations are still on-going and the community in the province should expect more police visibility."
