Drugs worth R1.5m found in parked car at Berea mall

Drugs with an
estimated street value of R1.5 million have been found in a car parked at a
shopping centre in Durban's Berea.
The Hawks say their members from the Serious Organised Crime Unit in Durban and Gauteng received information about the vehicle.
Spokesperson, Simphiwe Mhlongo says the car was found parked in the basement.
Officers recovered 30 000 mandrax tablets.

"They also found six firearms, one shot gun and five pistols as well as assorted live rounds of ammunition.
“No one was in the vehicle and no one till now claim to be the owner of the vehicle as our investigation continues."
