Drama as hostage situation plays out at store in Sundumbili
A hostage situation played out at a cash-and-carry store in Sundumbili, near Mandini on Monday morning.
"Five staff members of Boxer and one security officer who were locked into the cold room of the shop have been freed," says IPSS Medical Rescue's Dylan Meyrick
"We are still waiting for K-9 and task force tot find the suspects. It's believed there are still three suspects and two staff members on the site. All staff members who came out of the cold room are currently being treated for hypothermia."
Meyrick says emergency teams raced to the store early Monday morning.

"A number of suspects accosted the manager and staff when they opened this morning, [the suspects] took them inside the premises. Security officers called for back up and the premises are not surrounded with at least three to eight suspects in the premises."
We understand that two more staff members are being held inside along with their attackers.
