Updated | By Nomfundo Ngcobo
While the iLembe District Municipality have called for calm and patience as it repairs a faulty pump that's led to water outages, frustration is growing in KwaDukuza.
The municipality says its informed residents water levels in areas including Kearsney, Stanger Manor, Shakaville and Warrenton are low due to a suspected cable fault at the Umvoti Balancing Reservoir.
Residents expected to have supply restored on Monday morning after going without for nearly a week.
Initially, the municipality said interruptions were due to power trips caused by load shedding.

"This is totally unacceptable. What is happening in KwaDukuza Municipality and what is happening with the distribution of what from iLembe is absolutely unacceptable.
"The responsibility for this disaster rests completely on the side of the municipality. The consequences of this disaster has been far-reaching. In fact, today is the sixth day that people are living without water."
