Deathly scare as coffin found on Durban road

Metro Police say a coffin found lying on the side of a road in Durban was
empty.
Officers were called after motorists expressed horror after spotting near Dickens Road on Wednesday morning.

Metro police spokesperson Parboo Sewpersad said: "Upon arrival, they established the coffin was empty and it is alleged that the coffin fell from a moving vehicle.
"The coffin was being taken to a funeral parlor. The coffin was then taken to the local police station, which procedures were followed and was then taken to the dumpsite and disposed of."
