Death toll in northern KZN taxi shooting rises to 12

The Colenso mass shooting at the weekend has claimed another life.

A group of heavily armed men ambushed a minibus carrying taxi drivers on the R74 on Saturday.
KZN police spokesperson, Jay Naicker has confirmed that a twelfth victim succumbed to their injuries in hospital.
The victims came under fire while heading home to Gauteng after attending a funeral in the Ematimotolo area.

Eleven people were declared dead on the scene. A few others were wounded while two operators escaped unharmed.
Police are still trying to track down the assailants.
