Eskom says while it's been able to restore a few generating units to service - some went offline on Wednesday night after a power trip.

CEO Andre de Ruyter says, unfortunately, stage 2 load shedding is here to stay until Monday.
He says the next few days are crucial as work to bring the rest of the units online continues.
"Over night, we gained some units. Regrettably, we also lost some units. Matla 5 returned to service.

“For planned outages, we took out Camden unit 3 as well as Madupi unit 6. We had two trips Tutuka 4 tripped and Arnot 2 had a forced shutdown."
Du Ruyter says the utility's dam levels are being managed as well.
"We will manage our dam level on the weekend and replenish our upper dams so that will give us for Monday morning as reserve capacity that we required from a pump shortage perspective.”
