De Lille faces another motion of no confidence

Cape Town Mayor, Patricia de Lille says she's ready for another fight.
She's posted this message on Twitter after the DA in Cape Town passed a successful internal motion of no confidence vote against her last night.

138 councillors debated and voted on De Lille's future in the council chamber for three hours.

The party says it's lost faith in the corruption-accused mayor - who it says has breached the Code of Conduct for Councillors and had brought the party into disrepute - which she denies.

The federal executive will now invite De Lille to make representations to say why she should not be removed from her position.
In February, de Lille survived a motion against her by one vote - 110 councillors voted 'no', while 109 voted 'yes'.
