Recall clause has nothing to do with De Lille: DA
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
The DA's Federal Executive Chairperson, James Selfe says the recall clause adopted at the party's federal congress yesterday has nothing to do with Cape Town Mayor Patricia de Lille.
"De Lille unfortunately makes everything into some sort of conspiracy against her personally," he said.
The clause, dubbed the 'Patricia Clause', essentially allows for those appointed or elected to executive positions to be recalled if they do not resign within 48 hours.

Selfe says the new clause is bigger than De Lille.
In a statement released by De Lille, who is facing a DA hearing for allegedly covering up corruption, she says it is clear that certain individuals in the party are trying to get rid of her at any cost.
The DA wrapped up its federal congress in Tshwane yesterday, giving Mmusi Maimane another term at the helm.
