DA wants IEC to increase voting stations abroad

The Democratic Alliance is urging the Independent Electoral
Commission to increase the number of voting stations abroad.

The party this week launched an online petition calling for more voting stations to be easily accessible for all South Africans either living, working, studying, or travelling abroad.
South Africans will go to the polls next year.
This week, the IEC launched an online registration portal for South Africans abroad, while others can register and vote at embassies and high commissions.
IEC urges South Africans to make use of voter registration weekend
DA abroad communications manager Kelly Clark says while the online registration portal is welcomed, irrespective of where citizens may be they should be able to vote in a city near them without incurring high costs
"We really need to make sure that along with online registration, there is an improved number of voting stations for South Africans abroad."
