DA lambasts Msunduzi's bill for hosting Salga games
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Irate senior councillors in Msunduzi have slammed suggestions that the municipality might have to foot a huge chunk of the hosting bill for the Salga games.

Ten KZN District Municipalities will take part in the major competition in Amajuba next month.
It's where up-and-coming athletes are identified in sporting codes like rugby, tennis, swimming and soccer.
Msunduzi DA councillor Ross Strachan says while it's an important event, they are objecting to the financial contribution the municipality's been asked to make.
It's in the region of R1.5 million, which he says is triple the amount other municipalities are having to fork out.
He's blamed poor planning by mother district Umgungundlovu.
"The fact of the matter is that Umgungundlovu District should have catered for the Salga games in their budget like they do every year. So there has to be some sort of a compromise.
"We have requested that our right-off to the district and get an understanding that these figures that they have given us must be shared out. We can't be footing the bill for most of these other municipalities."
