DA in KZN slams decision to remove RK Khan CEO
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
The DA says KwaZulu-Natal Health's decision to redeploy RK Khan's CEO is unfair.

MEC Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu said yesterday that Dr Prakash Subban would be redeployed to Durban's St Aidans Hospital - following a public outcry over the neglect of a patient, who was found with maggots in his mouth.
Sadek Ebrahim who'd been admitted for gangrene died last week.
Simelane-Zulu says the hospital's management was asked months ago to implement a number of interventions to turn the situation there around.
This wasn't done, which's why a new CEO with fresh ideas will now be brought in.
The DA's Imran Keeka says what happened to Sadek was humiliating and inhumane and that the nursing staff need to be held accountable.
"They don't understand that the problems created in that hospital are not created by the hospital CEO. Theyt are created by the people above him. Those are the real enemies - not the hospital board. The hospital board has some complicity," Keeka said.

DA members visited Ebrahim's family yesterday.
His wife says she lovingly cared for him at home, until he was admitted last month.
