DA demands probe into ANC deployment appointments
Updated | By Xolani Khumalo
The Democratic Alliance (DA) has called for the investigation into the African National Congress' (ANC) deployment appointments.
The party on Wednesday filed applications in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act to also obtain full minutes and all other records of meetings by the ANC’s nine provincial deployment committees.
The ANC provincial leaders have 30 days to hand over the records to the DA.

"These latest PAIA applications were submitted to all ANC provincial leaders and forms part of the DA's ongoing efforts to inform the South African people of how cadre deployment by the ANC is the fundamental cause of state capture and collapse at national, provincial as well as municipal level," says the DA’s Leon Schreiber.
"Following a recent ruling by Acting Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, the ANC has no choice but to make public these provincial and regional cadre deployment minutes as requested by the DA."
