Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The by-elections are well underway in dozens of wards across the country.

In KZN one of those wards being contested is Ward 32 whose ANC councillor has resigned.
Voters have been coming into Clairwood Secondary School where voting is taking place.
The DA believes it can take the ward back.
The DA wards PR Councillor Sharmaine Sewshanker says they’ve received a lot of community feedback with residents telling them they feel let down.

"We have huge issues with service delivery, with the trucking issue is major, not just in Clairwood but in the south Durban basin.
In Albert Park most of the residences have been converted into student accommodation and obviously, the big issue we have in eThekwini is the homelessness and the vagrancy in the Albert Park area.
Due to all these factors, crime has escalated, people are frustrated, the infrastructure in Clairwood is falling apart. We have water cuts, water pipe bursts and electricity issues.
ANC PEC member Makhosi Zungu, PEC denies they have failed the community saying they’ve been on top of these challenges. "We have in place a war room which includes every stakeholder to address those issues. Either it's water, electricity or pollution.
