Cyril Ramaphosa in self-quarantine after dinner guest tests COVID-19 positive

President Cyril Ramaphosa's in self-quarantine. The Presidency says it's after a guest at a dinner he attended on Saturday, tested positive for Covid-19.

The Presidency released a statement a short while ago saying that Ramaphosa is showing no symptoms, at the moment - but will be tested, if he does.
The President will continue to work remotely.

On the dinner Ramaphosa attended, the Presidency says 35 guests were at a Joburg hotel for Saturday's fundraising event.
It was hosted by the Adopt-a-School Foundation, a partner entity of the Cyril Ramaphosa Foundation.
It says they adhered strictly to Covid-19 protocols and directives on screening, social distancing and the wearing of masks.

The Presidency says Ramaphosa removed his mask only when dining and addressing guests.
Meanwhile, the school foundation says a guest had shown symptoms on Sunday and went for a test the next day, before receiving a positive result yesterday.
The President was made aware of the diagnosis hours after he'd attended events at OR Tambo International Airport and Ekurhuleni yesterday.
