Cuba students not getting special treatment: KZN MEC
Updated | By Puseletso Petersen
KZN Health MEC Sibongiseni Dhlomo has dismissed allegations that his department gives preferential treatment to medical students receiving training in Cuba.
Dhlomo addressed around 300 students at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Hospital in Durban yesterday.
They returned to Cuba last night to resume their studies.

Dhlomo says these claims are unfounded.
"I haven't heard that allocations are being done that way. If it is done that way - it's without authority. There is no authority that says there must be preferential allocations," he says.
