Crime stats: Two Durban police stations record most murders

Umlazi and Inanda have topped the list of areas with the highest number of murders in the country, followed by Nyanga in the Western Cape.
Police Minister Bheki Cele on Wednesday released the latest crime stats covering the period between July and September.
Cele said 7 004 people were killed nationwide in these three months.
It's an increase of 841 murders compared to the same period last year.

"Arguments, misunderstandings and incidents of road rage and provocations accounted for 956 murders in the country,” Cele said.
“Vigilantism incidents claimed the lives of 528 people while 362 people were killed during the commission of a robbery."
Sexual offences went up, with over a thousand more cases reported compared to the 11 900 reported incidents in the same period last year.
