South Africa's Covid-19 vaccination programme for educators officially kicks off on Wednesday.
In KwaZulu-Natal, Health MEC Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu and Education MEC Kwazi Mshengu will launch the drive in KwaMashu.
The province's first set of teachers are expected to receive their jab at the KwaMashu Sports Centre.
Education spokesperson Muzi Mahlambi has told Newswatch that district offices of both departments have worked out a programme that entails when and where each school's educators will be vaccinated.

Mahlambi says that information has already been conveyed to schools in the province.
"They do know which schools are coming until the 8th of July - there is that kind of intensive programme."
He says educators will not be allowed to just walk into any vaccination centre but will be directed to go on the day that their school has been directed.
