COVID-19 recovery rate increases to 85%

South Africa’s confirmed a total of 615 701 coronavirus cases after 2 684 new infections.
In the last 24 hours, 194 people diagnosed with the disease lost their lives, taking the death toll to 13 502.

57 fatalities were recorded in KZN. Overall, the province has had 2 054 deaths.

More than 93 000 people have recovered. The number of confirmed cases has gone up to 111 096.
