COVID-19: Lindokuhle Cele murder case postponed

Judgement in the case against a man accused of killing Umlazi musician, Lindokuhle Cele has been delayed.
Twenty-three-year-old Cele was stabbed during an alleged homophobic attack outside an Umlazi butchery in February.
The accused, Mvuyisi Moguda's attempt to plead guilty was rejected earlier this year - with the State disputing his claim that the murder wasn’t premeditated.

Cele's family and friends arrived at court at around eight this morning in anticipation of today's judgement.
Proceedings were expected to go ahead at 11am but that didn't happen.
The judge came out just after midday and said they had been trying to find an interpreter all morning, with no luck.
She explained that all the interpreters in the Durban High Court were in quarantine after exposure to COVID-19.
Judgement was postponed to tomorrow, with the court saying it’s now managed to secure the services of another interpreter.
