Court interdict sees reopening of four protest-hit DUT campuses
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
The Durban University of Technology reopened four of its campuses on Wednesday.
This is after the institution was granted an interim court interdict following violent student protests on Thursday.
Protesting students allegedly damaged property and traumatised staff during demonstrations at the Steve Biko, ML Sultan, Ritson and City Campuses.
In a statement, DUT spokesperson Alan Khan said that management decided to resume in-person academic activities after evaluating the risks and taking into account the interdict.
